Together with the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, the Chamber issued a letter to Governor Tom Corbett urging him to act on the recommendations offered by the Transportation Funding Advisory Commission.  The Funding Advisory Commission recommendations provide a realistic and achievable framework at the appropriate scale – $2.7 billion per year, with $400 million for mass transit.  In a struggling economy, transportation funding would create needed jobs and improve the economic competitiveness of the Commonwealth.

Investment in Pennsylvania’s transportation infrastructure will remain an immediate and high priority for the Chamber.  To read a copy of the letter from Bill Hankowsky and John Surma, chairmen of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, please click here.
