This summer, Greater Philadelphia will proudly welcome the world. We’ll celebrate America’s 250th birthday and host major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup 26 and the MLB All-Star Game. The World Cup alone could bring an estimated $770 million in economic activity, 6,600 new jobs, and $51 million in tax revenue. For the business community, this is a once-in-a-generation chance to build on that opportunity and create paths to economic mobility across our city and region.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, The Chamber hosted a virtual session with representatives from Philadelphia Soccer 2026, the Office of the City Representative and Special Events, the Office of Emergency Management, the Philadelphia Police Department / Delaware Valley Intelligence Center, and SEPTA to help regional businesses prepare for the events ahead.
Here, you’ll find resources and real-time updates to keep your business running smoothly, help your team guide and support visitors, and make the most of every opportunity.
