The Chamber is proud to share the 2025 Greater Philadelphia Civic 50 report, which measures and highlights our regional business community’s civic engagement. Produced in partnership with the Philadelphia Foundation and Points of Light, the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia report serves as a powerful benchmarking tool that measures how businesses contribute to the well-being of their communities. This year’s report assesses the overall strength of civic engagement in Greater Philadelphia, compare regional performance to prior years’ local honorees, and examine how our business community aligns with and distinguishes itself from the 2025 national Civic 50 U.S. honorees. Together, these comparisons provide valuable insight into how our region continues to evolve and lead in corporate citizenship.

Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia recognizes the top 50 employers that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to civic engagement and community impact across our region. Honorees are selected through a rigorous, data-driven evaluation that measures performance across four key dimensions of civic engagement: investment, integration, institutionalization, and impact. These dimensions examine how companies deploy resources to support communities, embed civic engagement into business strategy, formalize their commitment through policies and systems, and measure the outcomes of their efforts. The resulting analysis not only recognizes top-performing employers, but also highlights regional strengths and identifies opportunities for businesses to deepen their engagement, strengthen partnerships, and respond more effectively to community needs throughout the region.

The 2025 Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia underscores the significant role businesses play in advancing inclusive economic mobility through intentional civic leadership. When companies place community at the center of how they operate, they contribute to a stronger, more equitable region while reinforcing their own long-term success. We invite employers across Greater Philadelphia to step forward—by building deeper community partnerships, expanding employee volunteer opportunities, championing inclusive policies that support regional prosperity, and engaging with collaborative networks such as the Greater Philadelphia Corporate Volunteer Network (GPCVN). This moment calls for action, collaboration, and leadership to help shape a future where Greater Philadelphia stands out globally as a premier place to do business and a model for inclusive growth.
