The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia has launched a new talent attraction campaign, “Stay for Philly,” developed in partnership with Visit Philadelphia. Building on their renowned visitor attraction campaign, “Come for Philadelphia. Stay for Philly,” this initiative takes a fresh approach by aiming to turn those tourists into permanent transplants.

The main feature of the “Stay for Philly” campaign is a new microsite, StayforPhilly.com, dedicated to providing comprehensive information on the region’s key industries and quality-of-life amenities. In doing so, the site offers resources to support job seekers in making the decision to relocate here, including an interactive cost of living calculator to compare how far a salary will go in Greater Philadelphia versus other U.S. regions, job boards, a Greater Philadelphia neighborhoods finder quiz, and information on the region’s education and healthcare assets. You can explore the latter mentioned resources further on the Education & Childcare and Health & Wellness pages.

The Chamber has also launched dedicated social media accounts on LinkedIn and Instagram to raise job seekers’ awareness of the region’s strengths.

Resources for Regional Employers

To support regional employers in their recruitment and hiring efforts, the campaign also includes an employer toolkit landing page and a sharable PDF meant to provide job seekers with a guide and glimpse at the region’s top advantages as a place to live and work.

Collaborative Ecosystem on Display at SXSW and Civic Pride Event

Global rankings and subsequent reports highlight our region’s collaborative spirit as a key factor contributing to its ranking among the world’s top 25 startup ecosystems. The Stay for Philly campaign exemplifies this collaboration in action.

This partnering between Visit Philadelphia and the Chamber underscores the region’s collaborative spirit and dedication to fostering a supportive business culture.

Last month, members of the Chamber’s Select Greater Philadelphia talent and business attraction team attended the 2025 South By Southwest Conference and Festivals (SXSW) in Austin, TX, where the talent team announced the Stay for Philly campaign for the first time in public. The Chamber team was part of the SXSW Keystone House alongside fellow Greater Philadelphia and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania organizations aimed at promoting the region and state for economic attraction purposes.

And on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the Chamber team joined Visit Philadelphia for an event launching their Civic Pride campaign and subsequently celebrating the collaboration on the Stay for Philly talent attraction campaign.

As Visit Philadelphia CEO Angela Val said, “Philadelphia isn’t just a great place to visit—it’s also an incredible place to live and work.”   Visit Philadelphia’s Civic Pride campaign includes a launched a new newsletter On a Positive Note,” meant to share “buzz-worthy news, inspiring stories from our neighborhoods and updates on programs that make Philly a great place to live and visit.”
