PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 27, 2024 – The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) today announced the hiring of Soledad Alfaro as Chief Operating Officer. Alfaro will succeed Andrea Allon, who has served the Chamber since 2006.   

Alfaro brings a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering inclusive growth and innovation. She previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Surge Institute, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership in strategic management and organizational effectiveness to educate and develop leaders of color who create transformative change in urban education. Prior to joining Surge Institute, Alfaro served as Chief Administrative Officer at the Philadelphia International Airport where she led several functions including strategy, human resources, information security, diversity and inclusion, and administrative operations.
