Through Recharge & Recover PHL, the Chamber and our members have made a commitment to increasing opportunities for small, Black- and brown-owned businesses by partnering with buyers to establish procurement goals and strategies.

To do this, we have created the Diverse Procurement Collaborative to facilitate the exchange of best practices, build a community of business leaders committed to diverse procurement practices, and create accountability through benchmarking.

Collaborative participants will make a two-year commitment to increase the diversity of their supplier networks and their spends with diverse vendors through the following actions:

Icon - Assessment

Take a baseline assessment

Our diverse procurement assessment will help companies establish what practices are currently in place,
determine their current spend with Black- and brown-owned businesses, and identify opportunities for growth.

Review benchmarks and set goals

With the assessment results and regional data as a guide, participants will determine where the gaps are in their procurement practice and set a two-year goal to meet upon completion of the program.

Exchange ideas and build community

Throughout the two-year program, participants will have the opportunity to attend gatherings with diverse suppliers and engage with learning resources to improve their procurement diversity practices.

Icon - Equitable Practices

Institute fair and equitable procurement practices

Based on the shared learning and the networks of new connections made through the program, participating companies will rethink how people, process, and policy impact their procurement diversity practices.

Icon - Track Progress

Track and report progress

At points throughout the program, participants will be asked to reflect on their initial assessment and goals, providing quantitative and qualitative data to show improvements in their supplier diversity.

Through the Diverse Procurement Collaborative, Chamber member companies can support the advancement, sustainability, and growth of Black and brown businesses in our community and strive toward creating a more equitable region.
