A message from the Chamber’s President & CEO Rob Wonderling to our community regarding the COVID-19 public health crisis.
As together we continue to confront COVID-19 and the day-to-day changes to our normal circumstances, I am reflecting on what truly matters most.
The answer to that question can be so many things, especially in times such as these. But what matters most, as I think about our region’s position in the global community, is support, camaraderie, and vision. Among families, friends, colleagues, and communities these aspects of our shared experience are key to weathering any crisis.
As we’ve spent the week talking to our members, we’re hearing that you want to help. You are all looking to support your teams, your peers, your community and, of course, your families and loved ones during these unprecedented times.
As you look for ways to offer support I suggest that you consider contributing to the PHL COVID-19 Fund that has been established to assist local nonprofits on the front lines of the pandemic. Donations can be made at phlcovid19fund.org.
In addition to support, our business community is still seeking the camaraderie and shared experience that sustains us in less trying times. We are working to continue to create these opportunities that are perhaps more important now than ever.
And finally, what matters most is that we have a shared vision for our future beyond the pandemic. As of today, it’s unsettling, irritating, and unknown as to when this will all end, but it will end and we will prevail.
Stay safe, connected, and healthy, and continue to let us know how we can help.
