The following letter was sent by the PHL Neighborhood Growth Project to neighborhood, business, and civic leaders.
Recently, residents in the Philadelphia region took part in On the Table Philly discussions all over the city.
Our friends at the Philadelphia Foundation created On the Table Philly as a way to elevate civic conversation, foster new relationships and create a unifying experience. These conversations can inspire new ways we can work together to make our communities stronger, safer, and more dynamic.
In fact, conversations at previous On the Table Philly events hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia helped to foster the ideas that led to the creation of the PHL Neighborhood Growth Project — knowing that when we come together as a community, we have the power to impact our own neighborhoods and lives.
For the third year in a row, the Chamber hosted a conversation as part of On the Table Philly. We brought together business and civic leaders to discuss how we can advocate for growth in neighborhoods across Philadelphia and create an inclusive prosperity in which we can all thrive.
Taking the time out of our busy lives to share a meal with our neighbors and friends and have conversations about the issues and opportunities we see in our city allows us to develop the individual solutions and resources each of us need to prosper.
We look forward to continuing to engage with residents and leaders across the city to promote growth for Philadelphia.
