The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) is pleased to announce that Jami Wintz McKeon, Chair of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, will receive the 2019 Paradigm Award, the region’s most prestigious award for businesswomen.

“Jami is one of our region’s most influential leaders. Her outstanding efforts to promote diversity within the legal community are widely recognized,” said Chamber President and CEO, Rob Wonderling. “We are truly fortunate to have someone of Jami’s stature within our community.”

Now in her fifth year as Chair, Ms. McKeon has catapulted Morgan Lewis into an elite international powerhouse through strategic investments, including in Asia, now encompassing more than 2,000 lawyers across 30 offices. As the leader of one of the biggest law firms in the United States and one of the few women heading a global law firm, Ms. McKeon provides strategic direction to the firm with a relentless focus on client service.

Since beginning her legal career at Morgan Lewis in 1981, Ms. McKeon has held various management positions including leading the firm’s litigation practice, the firm’s largest group.

Ms. McKeon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University. Outside of the workplace, she is an active community leader who was recently appointed to the University of Pennsylvania Law School Board of Overseers. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Advisory Board of the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession.

Ms. McKeon has been a passionate advocate for diversity within the legal industry. She launched ML Women, an initiative to harness the strength of the firm’s women through partnerships with clients and to create opportunities for women with a focus on the development of practice. In 2018, she was recognized as an Innovative Law Firm Leader as part of The National Women in Law Awards by Corporate Counsel and InsideCounsel.

During her years of practice, Ms. McKeon received numerous awards and recognitions as a leading lawyer, and she has been honored with multiple leadership awards honoring women, including being named among the 75 Most Outstanding Women Lawyers by The National Law Journal and receiving the Women’s Leadership Initiative Award from the United Way.

“I am incredibly honored to receive this award, and grateful to be included in the company of the impressive women who are past Paradigm Award recipients.”
