At the Chamber, we believe in the power of forging relationships at the local level. We offer various opportunities year-round to engage in local advocacy. Here are some ways you can take advantage of your Chamber membership:

Join an advocacy committee

Chamber members are encouraged to join their civically active regional colleagues on our advocacy committees, which have frequent meetings to work toward a more business-friendly climate in Greater Philadelphia.

Local Legislative Committee

Members monitor and evaluate proposed legislation in Philadelphia City Council and develop the business community’s position on initiatives that affect the private sector, such as taxes and business costs.

Attend Thursdays at City Hall

It can be hard to monitor relevant legislation coming out of City Council while operating your own business. Join the Chamber’s Civic Affairs Team in City Hall every Thursday for our weekly gathering at Philadelphia City Council sessions in the spring and fall for the opportunity to see a City Council session in progress, participate in introductions to City Council representatives, and represent the business community in conversations that promote job creation and economic growth.

Participate in our local advocacy events

Local advocacy events allow Chamber members to learn goals and priorities of the City firsthand. Members are encouraged join the discussion at our Roadmap for Growth issue forums, events with the Mayor and his administration, and more.
