In a state with an unemployment rate that lags behind the national average, an aging population, and an anemic economy, the time to collectively plan a path forward is now. Grow PA brings communities from across the Commonwealth together to share big ideas for a strong economic future.

Last year, we convened over 250 individuals from across Pennsylvania for various gatherings and programs, with a big focus on our Fall 2017 kick-off event, Grow PA: Driving Economic Growth in the Keystone State, and this past Spring’s Grow PA: Gubernatorial Republican Primary Debate

Grow PA: Driving Economic Growth from the Keystone State

Panelists at our Grow PA kick-off event featured Eric J. Barron, Allison Davenport, Michael Della Rocca, and moderator Tracey Matisak.

While Grow PA aims to define a modern economic growth agenda that will influence the candidates’ platforms for the 2018 Governor’s and General Assembly’s races, our work does not stop there. Throughout the 2018/2019 program year, Grow PA will host various gatherings and events to convene business and civic leaders to continue to develop big ideas to grow the Commonwealth.

See below for our 2018-2019 Grow PA agenda.

Grow PA Gatherings | Fall 2018
Working through local chambers of commerce and civic organizations, 100+ community leaders will gather in three different geographic locations throughout the Commonwealth to discuss ways in which to grow Pennsylvania, specifically around infrastructure, post-secondary education, and healthcare innovation.

Grow PA Legislative Briefing |  November 2018
Business and civic leaders will host a Grow PA briefing for Pennsylvania legislators and civic leaders in Harrisburg to present the Grow PA initiative and topics for discussion under the three pillars:

  1. Modernizing all facets of our infrastructure
  2. Transforming post-secondary education
  3. Accelerating the development of innovation in health care technology and delivery

Advocacy Day in Harrisburg | Capitol Building | March 2019
Grow PA advocates will meet up in Harrisburg for a luncheon and discussion of the Grow PA Big Ideas for Economic Growth Agenda. The Agenda will then be announced at a press conference in the Rotunda in Harrisburg followed by an afternoon of visits to legislators’ offices in support of the Grow PA blueprint for economic growth.
