What key qualities projected your company’s rapid growth?

When reflecting on the key qualities that have projected Pennoni’s rapid growth in recent years, my thoughts immediately go to the challenges presented to us during this exciting and prosperous time.

One of the greatest challenges presented by growth is having the ability to navigate change while fighting to attract and maintain our top talent. Growth, whether organically or through M&As, welcomes new employees, new personalities, and often new ways of doing things. New employees want to feel that they are a part of your organization, but it is a two-way street, they also must work to make sure they understand the culture and how they might best fit in.  Those that make the effort will quickly succeed and contribute to the success of the organization.

When you take a closer look at the “new ways of doing things”, words such as innovation and sustainability come to mind. At Pennoni, we constantly look to maintain the firm’s core methods of conducting business while adapting to change and advancements in technology. It is this commitment that has put Pennoni at the forefront of many innovative advances and has afforded us new and exciting ways of delivering projects. This has directly lead to growth in various disciplines and geographic regions of our firm.

Pennoni also has a Strategic Growth team that is tasked with constantly looking outside the box for new initiatives that we should explore in the ever-changing technological fields. Our wide-range of services and diversely skilled employees place us in markets from civil infrastructure to energy & sustainability to innovation. With direction from the Strategic Growth team, we look for areas to expand upon our core service offerings as a firm.

Ultimately, at the heart of this rapid growth, is our continued commitment to client service. It’s important to remember that adding top talent to our team and pushing the envelope with new and changing technologies only benefits our clients. We make a daily commitment to elevating the impact of our outcomes through innovative methods of delivering quality service that adapts to each client’s true project needs.
