PHILADELPHIA, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 – The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) in partnership with At-Large Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown hosted its fourth Listening Tour session in the Roadmap for Growth campaign. Community groups, cultural and tourism institutions, engaged residents, Partner organizations and others discussed the best ideas to encourage economic growth and create jobs. About 70 people attended last night’s meeting at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Center City office.
“As we continue to talk about moving Philadelphia’s economy forward, it’s important to discuss how the creative economy and tourism fit into the big picture and increase the city’s vibrancy. Philadelphia’s art and cultural institutions are world-class, and its tourism sector is growing,” said Joe Grace, Director of Public Policy for the Chamber. “We had a very passionate discussion about how we can continue to grow jobs and attract new businesses and individuals in these areas.”
