The Executive Director of the Arts + Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, Karin Copeland has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB).
Since 2011, Ms. Copeland has lead the Arts + Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, growing its programing and volunteer participation, and enhancing the overall impact of Arts + Business Council services.
“Karin is an innovative and charismatic leader with a real vision for the city and region. Her tremendous background in marketing and knowledge of the creative economy will greatly assist PHLCVB as we compete for worldwide convention and tourism business,” said Jack Ferguson, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) President & CEO.
Prior to heading the Arts + Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, Ms. Copeland served as Vice President, Strategic Alliances for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, responsible for managing the Chamber’s largest and most active members. She also served as Director of Corporate Sales for World Café Live and held numerous positions in the arts and design community.
“It’s a great honor to serve on the board of the PHLCVB and be a part of its terrific mission to market Philadelphia to the world,” said Ms. Copeland.
Her board commitments include, the Center for Architecture; the Americans for the Arts Private Sector Board; 2014 Americans for the Arts Local Arts Advancement Executive Leadership Forum.
Ms. Copeland is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
