I’m sure you’ve all read about the difficulties in funding with the Philadelphia schools this season. Budgets have been cut for extra-curricular activities and we’d  like to help schools spread a little holiday cheer. Walnut Street Theatre’s production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a Philadelphia tradition. The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce has decided to team up with Walnut Street Theatre to make the holidays especially bright for students this year. We’re asking local companies to sponsor an outing for a class to attend this hour-long family show. A Christmas Carol  is fun, affordable and educational.

– With your company’s sponsorship: $437.50 will pay for orchestra/mezzanine seating for a class of 35 students to attend a matinee performance.

– If you’d like to sponsor transportation: $500 will cover the cost of a bus for 35 students.

Whatever amount you donate will help make sure that thousands of kids have a wonderful holiday experience this year. All donations are tax-deductible.

You can even choose which school you’d like to sponsor – or the Walnut Street theatre will identify a needy school.  All proceeds will go to purchase discounted tickets and transportation.

Learn more about the show here:  http://www.walnutstreettheatre.org/season/carol13.php  There are also some wonderful photos, a study guide and a video of the family show.

If you’d like to sponsor a school, fell free to call Rachel Holmes at 215-574-3550 x. 504  and we’ll organize your company’s gift to local students.
