Philadelphia lost an important leader, noted physician, influential businessman, and philanthropist this week, with the passing of Dr. Walter P. Lomax, Jr.
“Dr. Lomax was a tireless advocate for the City of Philadelphia and a champion for the business community throughout his career. His legacy and dedication to the city will endure for generations to come,” said Rob Wonderling, President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. “I join with the Philadelphia community in sending my deepest condolences to the Lomax family.”
Lomax was the founder of The Lomax Companies, which includes Lomax Real Estate Partners, Prim Images, MyArtistDNA, and WURD Radio. He also chaired the Lomax Family Foundation, which provides funding for nonprofit organizations and programs that promote art, health, education and culture in the African American community.
