You may have heard of Schramm during the coverage of the rescue of 33 miners in Chile last year. A Schramm T685WS drilling rig found the miners alive on day 17 of their ordeal. A larger Schramm T130XD rig was the heart of Plan B that ultimately drilled the successful rescue hole to free the miners in October of 2010.

Schramm uses hydraulic automation to make its rigs more productive, more compact and safer to operate. We maximize USA origin content to provide world class equipment that can survive arctic to tropical climates at the highest level of reliability that current technology permits. Thanks to field-proven reliability under extreme operating conditions, over 50 percent of our revenues come from export sales. Our global reach includes major market positions in China, Russia, Chile, Australia and South Africa. Overall, Schramm rigs are operating in more than 80 countries around the world.

Domestically, Schramm Telemast rigs, including our TXD with fully automated drill pipe handling, are used extensively in the energy sector, particularly in the Marcellus Shale Play that encompasses a major portion of the northeastern United States, Pennsylvania included. Schramm mineral exploration rigs like the T685WS and T450GT are actively engaged throughout the western United States. Our full line of geothermal and water well rigs are used nationwide.
