The Chilean & American Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome rescued Chilean miner Mario Sepulveda to Philadelphia this Friday, March 25 at the Independence Seaport Museum from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a wine reception dedicated to bringing attention to Mario’s efforts to help rebuild Chile after the February 2010 earthquake that destroyed homes and displaced families. The event is $20 and open to everyone.

It was only four short months ago that Mario and 32 other Chilean miners were rescued from a collapsed mine in Copiapo, Chile after 69 days trapped underground. Mario became known to the world as “Super Mario” for his comedic broadcasts that helped keep his fellow miners in good spirits during a time when all could have been overcome by despair. The world watched as Mario was rescued, but now the famous miner and his organization, Miner’s Miracle, are shifting the focus.

Join the Chilean & American Chamber of Commerce, Organización Chile Lindo, the Consulate of Chile and the Gabriela Mistral Foundation to meet Mario Sepulveda and help rebuild Chile on Friday, March 25.
