The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce has been working to alert our members as well as the business people of Philadelphia that City Council could vote on mandatory Paid Sick Leave legislation as early as March 17. We are urging everyone to take action and contact City Council members to explain the impact of this job-crushing proposal. Details of the measure can be found on RelayPhilly.com. We hope you may consider sharing this message with your coworkers/members/clients/friends who may own or operate businesses in the City of Philadelphia.
Please read the letter sent from our CEO, Rob Wonderling and the Chairman of our Board, Bill Hankowsky to the sponsors of the bill.
Additionally, if you can spare the time to come to Room 400 City Hall at 10 AM on March 17th and speak against the passage of this legislation, please contact the Chief Clerk’s office at 215 686 3410 to sign up. Tell them you wish to speak on Bill 080474.
If you are going to speak, please contact the Chamber via firstname.lastname@example.org
