The American Cancer Society  offers organizations several great opportunities to get closer and healthier while fighting cancer.  We offer your group the chance to complete one of seven endurance events as a team.  Through participation in these events, as an athlete or volunteer, your employees will bind together forever.  Our events through the DetermiNation program consist of races for walkers, runners, and triathletes including a half ironman triathlon. Our Bike-a-thon offers a non-competitive ride for cyclists.

The Society will support your organization from the start to finish line.  We will help make the weekend of your event one of the greatest in the life of all participants and it will also give them the opportunity to scale new heights in their professional, business and personal lives. For those not interested in endurance events, we offer numerous volunteer opportunities which allow people to feel every bit a part of the life enhancing experiences that the Society has to offer.

In addition to helping each other, your team will help the American Cancer Society to fight cancer on three major fronts.  First, we always celebrate survivors and caregivers at our events, as they give us all inspiration.  Second, we honor the memory of all those loved ones lost to this disease.  We have seen this become a major help in the healing process for the loved ones of those lost to cancer.  Finally, all will feel the power of a special day of people going beyond themselves physically and mentally by making a statement to each other that one day we will live in a world without cancer.

There are many ways for your organization to be a part of American Cancer Society endurance events.  Support for the Society allows us to further our mission of creating a world with more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures and fighting back against this terrible disease.  For more information about the Bike-a-thon, email philadelphia.bike@cancer.org.  For all other endurance events please call 888-227-5445, and press option three to explore how you can join us in our journey to make every mile count and touch the lives of your team members and those fighting cancer in our community.
