The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present Jim Cramer, host of CNBC’s “Mad Money,” as the featured speaker of the annual Economic Outlook conference in partnership with Firstrust Bank.
The event will take place on January 12 in Center City Philadelphia, and will examine the region’s competitiveness and the issues that will impact the business community in the coming year.
The event will also feature the results of the 2011 Greater Philadelphia Outlook Survey, conducted by The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. GPCC members can expect to see an email from The Philadelphia Fed in the coming weeks that will contain a link to its online survey. Individual survey responses will be confidential.
“We are pleased to partner with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce on this annual survey, which should fit well with the monthly and quarterly surveys we conduct as part of our ongoing work to study the regional economy,” said Jason Novak, senior economic analyst. Novak will present the data at the breakfast event.
“The business community’s participation in this survey is crucial, because it will not only help us understand where we are still suffering economically, but how we can work together to improve those conditions,” said Rob Wonderling, Chamber President and CEO.
In addition to hosting “Mad Money,” Cramer is also markets commentator for TheStreet.com, a multimedia provider of financial commentary, analysis and news, which Jim co-founded and of which is he is the largest shareholder. He also writes a column for TheStreet.com.
