Last evening, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and members of the regional business community celebrated the extraordinary service of the Honorable Edward G. Rendell, who represented our region with passion for over 30 years as Philadelphia’s District Attorney, Mayor, and then as Governor of Pennsylvania.
The event was fittingly held at the beautiful Commonwealth Plaza at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, one of the many venues created from then Mayor Rendell’s vision for the Avenue of the Arts. Cocktails and conversation filled the plaza and prominent speakers told stories of their time working with Governor Rendell.
Speakers included Chamber Board Chairman and Liberty Property Trust President and CEO Bill Hankowsky, Chamber President and CEO Rob Wonderling, Mayor Michael Nutter, Kimmel Center President and CEO Anne Ewers, Phillies Senior Vice President Michael Stiles, and Comcast Corporation Executive Vice President David L. Cohen.
