Last week, the Chamber was proud to honor members of Philadelphia City Council at a reception at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building. It was the first time that we’ve ever hosted the reception there and probably will not be our last. The event was complemented beautifully with fine art, a gorgeous view, and was just a short walk from City Hall for members of Council.
Rob Wonderling, GPCC President & CEO, kicked off our brief program by thanking members of Council for their participation in the evening’s event and pledged the help and collaboration of the business community as City Council, together with the Administration, cultivates an environment that makes Philadelphia the perfect place for the local economy and commerce to thrive.
Shortly after GPCC Chairman David L. Cohen introduced her, Council President Anna C. Verna recognized Council members for their hard work and achievements much to the applause of those who attended. We hope that Chamber public policy events like this reception can offer elected officials and business leaders the opportunity to directly connect as we strive for the common goal of economic prosperity for the Greater Philadelphia region.
