This summer, the Chamber’s public policy department has been working with Mayor Nutter and his team in advancing the City’s budget agenda in Harrisburg.
We are encouraging lawmakers to pass House Bill 1828, which addresses pensions reforms and gives City Council the ability to temporarily raise the City’s sales tax by 1%, because it is crucial to the economic survival of Philadelphia and the region. A vote in the Pennsylvania State House is expected on Tuesday, September 8.
