The Committee of Seventy needs nonpartisan volunteers to help in its Voter Protection Program on November 4. Seventy assigns “citizen teams” to specific voting locations throughout the city and suburbs to provide assistance to voters, document complaints and help solve Election Day problems. Volunteers may work just a few hours in the morning, afternoon or evening, or all day. Beforehand, training sessions are offered for all participants, and all volunteers receive formal identification for Election Day purposes.
