Last night’s On the Move event at G-Lounge was filled with great networking opportunities and an inspirational talk from former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Troy Vincent.  Jim Wujcik from Sovereign Bank did a fantastic job sponsoring the event and inviting Troy to speak.  We all learned a little more about leadership and competitiveness in sports and in business.  It was fascinating hearing about the challenges NFL players and their families face.  Troy also mingled with the crowd afterwards and even told one of our sales reps that he would text him.  As a prize for last’s weeks OTM Blog contest, the Chamber gave away a signed Shane Victorino baseball which has significantly increased in value after the last two playoff series.  I wish I would have won it because I met Chase Utley and shook his hand as I was walking out of G-lounge and it would have been nice if I had something for him to sign.

Overall, the networking was great.  Meeting the same group of people every week at On the Move allows people to develop relationships and make strong connections with key decision – makers at companies.  I know our company Paliani Consulting, a training company, is getting in front of the right people and will hopefully walk away from all of this with new personal and business relationships with some of Philadelphia’s top companies.  There is no doubt in my mind that the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce will reach their membership goals this year and I highly recommend a membership with them if you want to grow your business and get in front of important decision-makers.
