You can help to improve the overall impact that your business has on the environment, without too much effort. All it takes is the implementation of small changes on an individual level. Here are some ways you can help:
If you change the margins to .75” on a Word document you can save a significant amount of paper.
- On Word screen, go to File, then Page Set Up. Click on Margins tab, and fill in desired setting. Click on Default button (on bottom of Margins tab). You’ll be offered “Do you want to change the default settings for the page set up? This change will affect all new documents based on the normal template.” Click YES.
- Keep a separate box by your trash for paper that can be recycled.
- Print double-sided whenever you can.
- Turn off the lights in your office or at your desk when leaving for the day.
