Posted to Event by Mr. Marcos Reynaga of World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia at 11:43 AM

This annual half-day conference and networking session by the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia and Drexel University will feature a keynote by two-term Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, who served four U.S. presidents in critical roles around the world, including as Ambassador to Singapore, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Asia, U.S. Trade Ambassador, and most recently, U.S. Ambassador to China. Embassy Series: The Baltic Question

Posted to Event by Ms. Linda Mysliwy Conlin of World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia at 10:01 AM

The Baltic Question: Is the Region Secure in its Post Soviet Success... or is Russia Lying in Wait?

Date: Thurs., Oct. 8, 2015
Location: Top of the Tower, 1717 Arch Street - 51 East, Philadelphia
5:30-6:15 Cocktail reception
6:15-7:15 Program
7:15-7:30 Networking
Through centuries, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have each maintained their own distinct cultural heritage, yet many common interests naturally evolved between the Baltic nations, other former Soviet republics, and the larger European community.
All sharing borders with Russia, the Baltic nations today must address a concern expressed by Britain's Defence Secretary when he warned that Russian president Putin presents a "clear and present danger" to the Baltic region.
The Ambassadors of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to the U.S will join us in Philadelphia to discuss the accomplishments and future of their region, and opportunities for expanding commercial ties with the Greater Philadelphia Region.
