Please join BDO Philadelphia for our next session: Board Compensation Committees - Controlling or Creating Pay Risks?

Governance of a comprehensive compensation program for the executive staff of a nonprofit or education organization rests with the Board of Directors. Board members are tasked with attracting, retaining, evaluating and compensating its key employees but, many times, members of the Board have little or no direct experience with compensation matters. The laws and regulations surrounding nonprofit executive compensation are also complex, adding another challenging layer to the Board's task. In this session, BDO will highlight the critical role and activities that must be accomplished to minimize risks associated with improper pay practices and share our experience in terms of 'best' and 'worst' practices observed in some organizations.

LOCAL INDUSTRY LEADERS TEAM UP TO LAUNCH “EMERGING BUSINESS SERIES” AT TEMPLE UNIVERSITY--CENTER CITY

A consortium of industry leaders have created a knowledge-sharing think tank to provide local businesses with an ongoing educational series, starting on Tuesday, March 13th at Temple University’s Center City campus, & continuing on the second Tuesday of each month.

The Emerging Business Series—How-To Seminars for Today’s Business Builders (EBS) is designed for small & mid-sized businesses, & entrepreneurs looking to begin a business. The series is geared toward business owners, CEOs, CFOs & business managers.
