Brownstein Group Makes Leadership and Organizational Changes; Names Erin Allsman Agency’s First Managing Director

Brownstein Group today announced the promotion of Senior Vice President, Public Relations & Social Media Erin Allsman to Managing Director effective immediately. In a decade at Brownstein Group, Allsman has grown the public relations department by 400 percent, launched the social media and content marketing practices and led the agency to its first national PR and social media awards. As the first Managing Director, Allsman will oversee Brownstein Group’s public relations, social media, branding and digital practices while also leading the agency’s long-term growth and specialization strategies.

Brownstein Group and City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program Team Up to Unveil Berny Brownstein’s Largest Masterpiece

Brownstein Group Founder & Chairman Berny Brownstein has been called many things over the course of his nearly 60-year career. Thanks to the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia Brownstein can add muralist to that list. Brownstein’s first ever mural was unveiled at the corner of 23rd and Sansom Streets.

Titled “Wild Tuscan Lilies,” the mural was painted by Brownstein on a visit to Tuscany and showcases the picturesque Tuscan landscape.

After graduating from the University of the Arts, Brownstein began working as an art director at N.W. Ayer and eventually founded Brownstein Group in the living room of his home in 1964. He went on to develop campaigns for corporate giants such as Zenith, United Airlines, Chrysler Corporation, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Caterpillar Equipment and IKEA, but has always been an artist at heart, showcasing many of his paintings at various galleries in the Philadelphia area.

Great Place to Work® and Fortune Name Brownstein Group as One of 100 Best Workplaces for Women

Fortune magazine released its 100 Best Workplaces for Women rankings — and just one Philadelphia company made the list: Brownstein Group.

The Center City-based advertising, branding and public relations agency ranked number 60. The 80-employee agency is made up of 61 percent women and all but one person on its management team are women. Along with its free yoga classes and full bar in the office, Brownstein Group offers a flexible schedule and focuses on outcomes — not time spent in the office. Since Brownstein applied for the Fortune award, it expanded its maternity benefits even further. Now along with three months off the company invested in an insurance product that provides payment to employees when they take maternity leave.

Jimmy Mo Joins EisnerAmper's Not-For-Profit Services Group As Philadelphia Leader

EisnerAmper LLP announced that Jimmy Mo, a nonprofit audit specialist, has joined EisnerAmper as its Philadelphia Director of Not-for-Profit Services. Mo has more than 15 years of auditing experience in the not-for-profit sector.
