Posted to Milestone by Ms. Ellen Langas of Forum of Executive Women at 3:56 PM

On Thursday, December 7, 2017, The Forum of Executive Women commemorated 40 years of progress at the Please Touch Museum with a celebration sponsored by PNC that included NBC10’s Tracy Davidson as emcee, Mayor Jim Kenney, the Forum’s pioneering co-founders, 12 other past presidents, members and guests.

Judith von Seldeneck and Lee van de Velde co-founded The Forum of Executive Women in 1977 after identifying the need for successful women to come together and take a close look at issues facing women in business. Today, The Forum comprises more than 450 women who meet regularly to advance the opportunities of women in leadership and drive the conversation on gender parity throughout the region.

Over the past four decades, The Forum has established a number of initiatives that advance women’s leadership including the Women in Leadership report, which provides a barometer for measuring progress of women leaders in the Greater Philadelphia region. www.foew.com.
